Adulting n. - the state of taking responsibility for one's present and future; demonstrating flashes of maturity or forethought; societal expectations when a major decision or change is made
Preparing for distant travels requires more adulating than I remember. Doctor visits. Health insurance. Logistics. Paying off my car. Car insurance. Being a true global citizen. Packing. Moving.
Of course, there's the often asked question concerning my state of readiness. "Ready" sounds like a nice place. I won't have a chance to travel through that state any time soon but I'll consider adding it to my list.
I moved out of my office on Tuesday. I moved out of my house yesterday. I leave the country on Monday. Tomorrow.
This feeling is similar to getting belted up before going skydiving.
Next is the trip to the plane.
Then it's go time...
